  • Sight
    2005 / 10x6 / Canon EOS 20D / 135.0 mm

This image is part of a series based on the five senses. Previous to this image, my photography was based in what was real. This was the first time I imagined a concept and brought it to fruition.
  • Reflecting in Amsterdam
    2007 / 10 x 6 / Canon EOS 20D / 50.0 mm

I spotted this image while shooting in Amsterdam. I had spent the day at the Van Gogh museum and was inspired by the soft shades of color in this off beat scene.
  • Digger's Perspective
    2006 / 10 x 6 / Canon EOS 20D / 100.0 mm

This is an image from a photography narrative focusing on dust. Since clouds are made of dust, I thought an interesting angle was to capture the reflection in my cat's eye.
  • The Self-Destruction of John Kemp
    2006 / 10 x 6 / Canon EOS 20D / 28.0 mm

I spent over 20 hours constructing this composition. No two pieces of this image were shot at the same location.

Erin Yunes

Erin holds a BA in Journalism/Literature from the University of New Hampshire, a Professional Photography Certificate from the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University, and is a current Masters of Arts Administration student at Boston University. Her work has been published in several magazines including Northeast Performer, Crimson Mango, and The Deli. She is inspired by truth and passion. Her goal is to present her audience with the raw and most intimate details of life. She manipulates light and color to expose the truth of the human experience. During the shoot she tells her subjects a story, places them in a scene or creates a scenario, allowing her to capture a glimpse of their spirit. She uses her camera to break down walls and capture emotion.
