I am an architect by training and worked in that field for twenty-two years
before realizing that my architectural career was not sufficiently fulfilling.
Deciding that it was time to follow more meaningful pursuits through creativity,
writing and music, I resigned my position at a large Boston area architectural
firm in 2003 to recover my creativity, uncover myself, and work towards addressing
issues that are meaningful to me. I now maintain a studio practice at Vernon
Street Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts as part of that effort.
I am self-taught and experiment in various mediums. Currently most of my studio
effort is in acrylic painting and digitally altered photography, often using
one as source material for the other. I also work in watercolors and enjoy charcoal
life drawing.
