Initially a painter, my paintings began to creep off the picture plane and into the physical space of the viewer.  Using materials that appear slight or inconsequential, I make things that are, essentially, something from nothing. I'm also interested in the borders of two and three dimensions, so my 3-dimensional work is a bit flat and my 2-dimensional work can be lumpy.    .
